YouTube star Alex Stein has confirmed his fight with TikTok sensation Mo Deen has been called off after he threw ‘hotdogs’ at his rival.

Stein and Mo Deen were due to face each other in a Misfits Boxing event this weekend, and attended a press conference on Thursday ahead of their clash.

During the press conference, Stein rose to his feet, turned to his opponent and stated: ‘I brought you a little gift because I know you love hotdogs’ before launching sausages from a container in Mo Deen’s direction.

Mo Deen was furious and clambered up onto a table to try and get to Stein, with security stepping in to prevent him from attacking the YouTuber.

Meanwhile, Stein continued to goad Mo Deen claiming ‘I know you love that. You love pork, right?’

Mo Deen is a practicing Muslim. Pork is considered haram (forbidden) by Muslims, explaining Mo Deen’s furious reaction.

Following the incident, Misfits have responded quickly and removed Stein from their card.

Stein announced the news by publishing a letter from Misfits on his social media.

The letter entitled ‘Termination of Contract’ read: ‘Dear Mr Stein, at the press conference today (Thursday) you threw sausages, that were believed to be pork meat, at Mr Mohammad Kubba a/k/a Mo Deen, your scheduled opponent, causing a fight between Mr Kubba and yourself. This fight caused the destruction of the press conference stage.

‘You put the name and reputation of Misfits Boxing, its shareholders and its partners into disrepute.’

Despite suggesting at the time that he was throwing ‘hotdogs’ made from pork at Mo Deen, Stein appeared to backtrack when posting his contract termination letter on Twitter.

He wrote: ‘I just had my fight cancelled for throwing turkey dogs on Mo Deen!’ Turkey is eaten by Muslims, provided the animal has been slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines.

Mo Deen has since responded to the cancellation on Twitter, declaring that he is ‘heartbroken’ that he will no longer be fighting, and has backed up Stein’s claim that it was not actually pork thrown at him.

‘I’m feeling heartbroken because my fight is getting cancelled because of someone else’s actions and I’m not getting the chance to smash this guy’s face in,’ he said.

‘They found out it was not pork, it was chicken or whatever. So that’s calm. As long as it wasn’t (pork) it’s not that deep.’

Stein is a 36-year-old right-wing YouTube personality. Having started his online career by participating in food challenges on YouTube in 2011, he now has his own show Prime Time with Alex Stein on American media network Blaze Media.

He is also a supporter of former president Donald Trump, and showed up at Trump Tower in New York earlier this year to call for the 77-year-old to be freed of all charges against him.
