We have been hot so far in the NHL Playoffs.
With just one game left in the first round of the NHL Playoffs, I’m sitting at 30-18-1 for +11.99 units.
We have one more first round matchup to try to boost our record before the second round starts on Tuesday.
Let’s dive into my best bet for Game 7 of the Battle of the Hudson between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers.
Best NHL bets for Monday, May 1st
Devils -115 vs. Rangers
The Devils have largely dominated the Rangers so far this series, especially during 5-on-5 play. In fact, they have the highest CORSI%, which measures all types of shot attempts for and against, amongst the 16 postseason teams in the opening round.
They also have the second highest expected goals percentage at 54.06%.
Where the Rangers have the advantage is experience. This group of players has been here before and will be better prepped to win a high stakes Game 7 matchup. They also have been much better on the powerplay than the Devils, which could prove huge tonight.
Still, I’m going to trust the metrics and back the Devils. They’re averaging over five more high-danger scoring chances per game and if they can find a way to sneak a few past Igor Shesterkin, they’re going to be in good position to advance to the second round of the NHL Playoffs.
