Australian bare-knuckle fighter Tai Emery, who went viral for flashing her chest after a knockout victory, blames ‘Karens’ for her being threatened with a fine if she pulls the stunt again.

In September, 35-year-old Emery made headlines around the world for flashing the audience in celebration after her TKO win over Rung-Arun Khunchai in the the Bare Knuckle Fight Championship (BKFC).

Emery has now revealed that although she got a lot of social media followers for the stunt, she also got into a lot of trouble.

‘I will say one thing, I did get in a lot of trouble with Dave Feldman from BKFC — just for everyone that wanted to know some repercussions — I was in trouble, so thanks everyone, all you Karens, for having a little complaint,’ Emery told MMA Fighting

‘I’m sorry about that, but this is an 18+ event, so just don’t watch.’

Emery has hinted that she might pull off a repeat performance, but she faces a hefty fine if she does.

‘So they said that I’m going to be fined if I pull a stunt – that word has been locked in my head, because I’ve been pulled into the principal’s office once again,’ Emery said.

‘Nothing’s changed. I’ve been told that the stunt that I pulled will not be allowed. Their talking millions of bahts in fines, but what’s good? We’ll see what happens.’

A million baht is nothing to sneeze at – roughly equating to a little over $42,000.

Unfortunately for Emery, she suffered her first ever defeat over the weekend – going down to 25-year-old Po Denman on points after five gruelling rounds.

The Aussie flyweight suffered some facial injuries in the contest and didn’t repeat the controversial stunt that made waves in her last bout.

Emery said before the bout that she will continue training hard and being herself when she steps in the ring.

‘I never try to think about outdoing myself, I just continue to be myself,’ she explained.

‘I think for other people, maybe that’s a shock factor for them. But for me, and for other people that get to see past what Instagram may reveal, or for the people that actually give me the time of day to get to know my personality, they all know this is just a very normal Tai thing to do.’
