Aussie boxing glamour girl Ebanie Bridges gives her critics a wild spray after she was slammed for getting naked and being all looks and no talent – despite being a world champion
- Ebanie Bridges has hit back at critics of her eye-catching weigh-in attire
- The Australian has won legions of fans with her unique style in and out the ring
- However, she has been exposed to vile trolling and took to Twitter to hit back
- She said it was hypocritical to accept topless male fighters but not her attire
Ebanie Bridges has hit back at critics of her eye-catching choice of attire as the Aussie world champion issued a timely reminder to her internet trolls.
Bridges, 35, has taken the UK by storm since moving over from Australia and teaming up with Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn, winning swathes of fans thanks to her no-nonsense fighting style and her iconic outfits at weigh ins.
Yet despite her winning the IBF bantamweight title earlier this year, the Blonde Bomber is still exposed to vile abuse on social media – with trolls criticising her for her choice of attire.

The Australian battler won her first world title this year but still cops criticism from trolls
Bridges, however, is equally capable of fighting her corner inside and outside the ring, and took to Twitter on Wednesday to hit back at those accusing her of getting ‘naked’ at weigh ins, while referring to remarks from ex-foe Shannon Courtenay.
‘I can’t believe people are still complaining & trying to defame me by talking about my looks & that I apparently get ‘naked’, guys, that’s so Shanny 2020 get with the times peeps. My boxing has done the talking, I’m the IBF world champion & I didn’t do it naked,’ she wrote.
Replying to a fan who suggested trolls were only jealous of her looks, she said: ‘Lol I get my t*** out cos I wear a bikini in the pool hahaha soz guys I should know, if ur bigger than a A-B cup better put a T-shirt on incase u upset people.’
A baffled Bridges also pointed out how it is acceptable for men to take their tops off during weigh ins but for some, she should not wear skimpy outfits.

She pointed out that plenty of boxing fans have no issue with male fighters stripping off
‘99% of boxers get their ‘clothes off’ for a weigh in, men & women, not sure why people still be having such a problem when I do it.
‘Plenty of girls looking banging on the scales now ‘TAKING THEIR CLOTHES OFF’ wearing nice underwear ppl don’t complain. Just when I do it. Find it so strange.’
Bridges reflected earlier this month that she sets out to prove to fans that she can actually fight, telling the Daily Star: “Then they (boxing fans) all want to see me fight,. They’ll think “s*** can this girl actually fight” and then they will tune in to the fight the next day, then my numbers for the fight rise and then I’ve got lots of new fans.
“They were never into women’s boxing, then suddenly they see this hot chick with big boobs and it’s like “wait can she fight? Oh wait she can, oh my God women’s boxing is great” because we always put on an exciting fight.
‘It’s all part of it. It’s working really well and it will continue.”
