Patrick Mahomes signed a Chiefs fan’s tattoo of the quarterback and shouted him out after the fan then got the signature inked on him permanently.
One of the beautiful things about Patrick Mahomes is that he’s never shy about showing Chiefs Kingdom love. The Arrowhead faithful remain unabashedly enamored with their quarterback but he often returns the favor with that.
Sometimes, however, no athlete — Mahomes or not — would have a choice to not shout out some acts of fandom. Such was the case this week while the Kansas City quarterback was at a golf tournament.
Mahomes met a Chiefs fan on Wednesday at the event who had the signal-caller tattooed on his forearm. As he should have, the quarterback signed it for the fan.
But it was what the fan did after the signature that caught Mahomes’ attention even further and warranted a shoutout.
Patrick Mahomes shouts out Chiefs fan for signature tattoo
Mahomes tweeted on Thursday that the same fan showed up at the golf event on Thursday and had the signature the quarterback had put on there tattooed on the forearm as well.
If there was ever a time that a fan deserves a shoutout, said fan getting a tattoo of you signed and then getting signature tattooed on them as well is at the top of the list.
Talk about a moment that the fan in question will never forget. Of course, he and other Chiefs fans are hoping they can get a Kansas City Super Bowl LVII tattoo signed next. That’s certainly going to be Mahomes’ next project.
